Diski group stages conclude in Kimberly

The Northern Cape will have the honour of bringing down the curtain on the group stages of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge (PSL Reserve League) on the weekend of October 25-26 at the Galeshewe Stadium in Kimberley.
With just two of the eight quarterfinal spots secured, the two-day festival will be a jostle for the remaining six spots.
Entry into Galeshewe Stadium is free with tickets available at all Shoprite/Checkers and Computicket outlets from Tuesday, 21 October until Friday, 24 October. Two tickets are allocated per person. Please note no tickets will be issued on match day.
Other than the football, fans will also get to enjoy entertainment from Kimberley’s local artists.
Leading up to the weekend, Kimberley’s own Jimmy Tau along with Jabu Mahlangu and Fezile Makhanya will be visiting schools, malls and communities in the Galeshewe community to promote the festival. The promotion will include ticket giveaways and spot prizes.
It’s an opportune moment for the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, a tournament which seeks to unearth and polish South African football’s next diamonds, to come to the Northern Cape while the province is still basking in the glory of its latest diamond discovery, Rivaldo Coetzee. The Kakamas-born Coetzee recently became the youngest player to represent the country at senior level when he made his debut against Congo Brazzaville in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at just 18.
